‘Sandwich’ is one of my more colourful, random and abstract pieces. The pen I used did not vary in width, and as a result, I had to rely on pen strokes rather than the width of the line to provide depth. The colours were made intentionally brighter and with a pinkish hue to give it a dream-like appearance, which accentuated the more unusual aspects of the drawing – the floating sandwich. Overall, this piece helped me break my state of art block and allowed me to experiment freely with other illustration tools.
